Huntington, NY (May 15, 2024) – Family Service League (FSL), a leading Long Island-based non-profit human service organization, is pleased to announce that Jovi Stevenson, MBA, CDP, has joined its staff in the new position of Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB). In this role, Ms. Stevenson is responsible for developing, overseeing, and advancing the agency’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging objectives, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Before joining FSL, Ms. Stevenson held DEIB leadership roles in the banking and nonprofit industries, where she developed and executed diversity initiatives that amplified employee voices, built diverse talent pipelines, and cultivated community partnerships, resulting in award-winning recognition for diverse and inclusive hiring. A respected expert in her field, she has been an invited speaker at multiple diversity and inclusion summits and collegiate conferences. A certified DEIB practitioner, Ms. Stevenson served on the Board of Directors for the Tri-state Diversity Council and on diversity committees in her community. In her free time, Ms. Stevenson enjoys serving as a life coach to early career professionals.
Ms. Stevenson holds an MBA in Marketing from Adelphi University and a BA in Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America. She is the proud mom to two beautiful daughters and shares the joys of parenting with her husband of 18 years. She currently resides in Wheatley Heights, New York.
