Huntington, NY (January 28, 2021) – Since 1926 Family Service League (FSL) has been a leading Long Island non-profit human service organization providing a safety-net for people in need. Today, FSL announced it has earned the 2021 Top Workplaces USA Award, issued by Energage, a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand Top Workplaces. This is the inaugural year for Top Workplaces USA, which is built on the program’s 14-year history of surveying more than 20 million employees across 54 markets for regional awards.
The Top Workplace Award recognition is even more meaningful this year since the coronavirus pandemic has brought new challenges and difficulties on everyone. In response to the health emergency and the outcry for help, FSL’s leadership and staff developed various new models for providing care and support activities while vigilantly following suggested public health guidelines and protocols. The FSL team, regardless of the situation or circumstances, remains committed to providing vital programs that children and adults depend on every day. This type of professionalism, peer respect, and commitment can only thrive in a positive work environment.
“Everyday Family Service League’s dedicated staff of over 700 strong work to help those in need through some of life’s most difficult challenges. The Energage survey and the Top Workplace Award help our executive team lead more effectively. We gain insight into how our employees feel about the culture of our workplace, it helps in planning the way we encourage professional growth, and assists with the retention and recruiting of talent.” – Karen Boorshtein, FSL President & CEO
Top Workplaces USA offers national recognition for large organizations, those with more than 150
employees, and those that may have operations in multiple markets. Winners of the Top Workplaces USA list are chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey. Results are calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance against industry benchmarks.
“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”
